DETAILS: Stop by Broken Arrow during Portland Wine Week to enjoy a Sherry and cheese pairing which will be available all week long for anyone, at any point in the meal. It’s a great way to start or end a meal! The ‘jigs’ of Lakin Gorges cheese are being specially made for Broken Arrow, you won’t want to miss it!
SHERRY: Cream “Zurbaran” from Bodegas 501 is named in honor of Francisco de Zurbaran, the Spanish Baroque painter so closely linked with Andalucia and who created many great works of art in Jerez. This solera was founded in 1783 at the founding of the Bodega. The fact that it is aged for so long after being blended, not the usual practice currently in Jerez, makes it unique among the excellent “Cream” sherries.
COSTS: $20 for 3oz pour of Sherry and one ‘jig’ from Lakin Gorges (tax and gratuity not included)
