Juicy and fruity with a hint of strawberry sweetness, offset by nice acidity, minerality, and a pretty perlage of bubbles.
2022 Mittelbach, T Rosé, Kamptal, Austria (100% Zweigelt)
A perfectly dry and bright rose. Berries wrapped in lime zest, with a zippy, long, crisp finish.
2021 Ruttenstock, Gruner Veltliner, Niederosterreich, Austria (100% Grüner Veltliner)
Similar to Sauvignon Blanc in the heady grapefruit and lemon notes, and snappy body, but with white pepper nuance instead of the grassiness of SB. The spiciness overlaps with the citrus along with green apple, melon, and white flowers. On the palate, these flavors finish with a salty mineral tinge that is clean, dry, and fresh.
2021 Paul D, Zweigelt Red, Wagram, Austria (100% Zweigelt)
For the red wine people! Still a lighter more seafood-friendly red. Crunchy, almost Grenache-like wine. Lovely balance between fruit and savory notes; raspberries, pomegranate, and red licorice are the standout characters.
